About Michelle
Michelle has a degree in Fine Arts from Colorado State University and has studied in New York at The School of Visual Arts and Parson's School of Design. She has also studied in Paris at Ecole Des Beaux Arts. She is a former teacher at both The Schools of Visual Arts and Parsons in New York City, as well as at The Art Center College of Design in California, University of Denver, Metropolitan State and Rocky Mountain School of Design in Denver Colorado. Michelle has taught illustration workshops at The School of Design in Tokyo Japan and Seoul South Korea. Michelle has won numerous awards for her illustrations in books, magazines, and newspapers, including a Society of Illustrators Silver Medal Award. Her work has appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated, Spin, Psychology Today, Washington Post, Rolling Stone and Ms. She is also a song writer and recording artist. Previous projects have included an illustrated book with a CD of her original music, entitled Visions of Vespertina, and 225 individual paintings for an interactive CD-ROM of the Bible.
